As an Auburn WA baby photographer, it was such a joy to work with baby Harlow, her big brother, and Mom & Dad!

I know how stressful it can be to get your newborn into the studio for their session. Not only that but if big brother or big sister is tagging along, my Moms & Dads always have a fully packed diaper bags and “all the things” in tow. My goal is always to make our time together in the studio as stress-free as possible. I eliminate the need to shop for outfits, props, or anything that needs to be added to their setup for their sweet baby’s session. Yes, outfits and swaddles are provided!

Of course, if you have a family heirloom or beloved stuffy you’d love to include, I encourage you to bring it along. But everything will be taken care of and handled for you in advance. I know how precious time is to my parents. Especially when navigating a newborn schedule. And I want to provide them with the best photography experience that maximizes their time in my studio.

This stress-free approach was happening behind the scenes when I worked with baby Harlow as her Auburn WA newborn photographer. In fact, this was not the first time I had met this beautiful family! Baby Harlows big brother is a Fairies and Frogs alumni. He also visited the studio as a sweetly slumbering newborn. So when Mom reached out to me for Harlow’s session, she had one very special request. Could Harlow wear the same tiny bee outfit that big brother wore during his session? Absolutely, resounding yes!

I thought of how special those photos would look hanging on the walls of their home, side by side. And what joy it would bring Mom and Dad to see their sweet littles in the same yellow and black striped outfit for years to come. We kept the outfit the same, but we worked on a different setup so that Harlow and her big brother could each have their own experience of living like a sweet honeybee!

In addition to our honeybee theme, Big Brother (and eventually Mom and Dad) got in front of the camera with sweet little Harlow. I know that parents often have specific visions of what their newborn’s photos will look like. But there’s no reason you can’t experience the best of both worlds! Adorable and imaginative scenes of your tiny newborn, and family photos to be cherished for a lifetime. Which is why I always highly encourage parents and siblings to hop in front of the camera too!

Harlow and her big brother even got their very own custom image (you can read more about the custom process here). As an added super bonus, Harlow’s session was a unicorn session. For the most part, she was off in dreamland while I captured her. But, at one point, she decided to open her eyes and I absolutely captured those beautiful gems too!
