Our Where The Wild Things Are photoshoot was a first birthday celebration for this sweet baby and wild certainly described his energy levels. We embraced it!

If you were wondering where the wild things are, wonder no more! This baby was full of smiles and wanted to go! go! go! He has mastered his crawling skills and his mama had to keep picking him and up and putting him back on the set.

Wild first birthday photos

This session kept us on our toes and was wild indeed! One of my favorite parts was how he completely demolished the cake! I would say only 1 out of every 20 cake smash sessions actually smash the cake to the point where there is nothing but crumbs left and he did just that! However, that’s exactly the goal, so, really, he did a great job. Well done kiddo.

Cake smash supreme

I almost couldn’t believe it when he picked up the plate like he was going to lick it clean! It made for a great shot.

And do you see him wearing that adorable crown? We weren’t sure if he would keep it on his head, but he was so focused on the cake that he didn’t notice it at all!

This Where the Wild Things Are photoshoot was so sweet. Everything from his smirks to the cake smash made this day so unique! Thank you birthday boy for reminding me that we can all use a little wild energy in our lives.
