The Difference a Year Makes; From Newborn Photography Session to Baby’s First Birthday Session – Olympia Lacey Newborn Photographer

It never ceases to amaze me how fast a year goes by and each year just seems to go by faster and faster! What’s even more amazing is how much a newborn will grow and change from this sleepy, squishy little human to a laughing, wide-awake bigger human in just 12 months.

A year ago this sweet pumpkin came in for his newborn photography session. I loved the color theme that we used: grey and royal blues and warm neutrals. Before I knew it his mama was texting me to book his first birthday session and she wanted to take some pictures with the same props and color scheme that we used at his newborn session so that we could see how much he has grown and boy oh boy the difference when you look at the pictures side by side is amazing! Look at him snuggled up on the grey puff pillow when he was just a few days old and now he is laughing and sitting up like a big boy on the same pillow! The crown pictures are just too adorable – look how big the crown is on his tiny little noggin in the picture taken a year ago and then look at it one year later! It looks so teeny tiny now! We were all shocked that he kept it on his head as long as he did for his first birthday pictures!
