Oh, my goodness – this little guy was so teeny tiny and had a head full of beautiful dark hair! He looked like a handsome doll, and I could wait to meet him in the studio and capture all of his adorable cuteness. I was so honored to do this family’s Tacoma newborn session! His mama wanted to show case her little guy with timeless and whimsical poses and props – I love the perfect balance she chose.
(I always tell my families who aren’t sure which style to pick to do a few of both. You can never go wrong with classics and neutrals, but it’s also fun to have a few whimsical themed shots. The kids really love those when they’re about preschool age.)
She wanted one photo of her baby wrapped in a baby blue blanket, sleeping like an angel on the moon with a few gold stars sprinkled about. He looks so handsome snoozing there and seemed to love that spot, too!
For a few more animal themed poses – those are always so great for baby boys – she chose the little mouse on the shelf pose, baby fox in the nest pose, and baby bear asleep in the mossy tree. This sweet guy is a hard sleeper, and he rocked every single pose we did! After those, we moved on to the classic family poses with a few candid family shots added in. This mama and daddy naturally situated themselves perfectly in all the poses and my heart just melted with the love that is visible in each and every picture they are in with their new little man!
It is my joy and passion to create gorgeous custom pieces of “baby art” that will perfectly match nursery themes, coordinate with living room colors, or brighten up a mancave or workspace (think: newborn poses with cars, toolbox, sports, etc.)! If you have some ideas or a space you want to decorate, let me know! We can incorporate those into your session.
