Tacoma Newborn Session Photographer | Mommy’s Boy

This sweet boy was SO much fun to work with! I absolutely loved the warm earth tones we used for this session. The natural approach we took to this session cultivated such a cozy and natural feel.

Saddle Up Baby Boy

While his mama and I were planning this session, she let me know her little man had been born into a horse loving family. She asked if we could incorporate a saddle into our session. Of course I was more than happy to oblige! When she arrived for her session, she brought along not only one, but three gorgeous saddles. With a giggle, she said, “I don’t know which one you would like to use so I brought all of them” – which is perfect! I was able to create the perfect image for her by doing a composite.

Composite images are used in newborn photography to ensure the safety and comfort of the little ones in my studio. I take a picture of each of the saddles individually and then I take a picture of the baby on a cozy blanket (not on the saddle) and then I combine the two images (one of the saddle pictures and one of the baby pictures) to make it look like baby was snoozing away on the saddle! Our little man is perfectly supported, and we have a gorgeous image. Win-win!
