Seattle Newborn Photography With Baby Bailey

Seattle newborn photography with sweet little baby Bailey!

This newborn photography session with tiny little baby Bailey in my Seattle studio was so special. In particular, what I loved about this session was how involved her family was, including Grandma. There were so many different little elements of this shoot with Bailey that were unique to their family and I can’t wait to share them with you!

It’s always such a fun time dressing up my tiniest clients, in my studio. I know all too well that having a newborn in the house can make for sleepless nights, with days that lean heavily on the helpful hands of those who surround you. So I provide all the outfits and swaddles needed for the session (fully cleaned & sterilized of course!). Doing this allows my parents the ease of showing up for their baby’s session knowing that everything has been handled for them. My goal is to not only make the photos cherished family heirlooms but to make the time spent in my studio memorable as well.

We had a fun time creating a photo of sweet little Bailey assembled in an oyster just like the rare and precious pearl that she is! When you see her full head of soft baby hair, you’ll know exactly what I mean! Seriously, Bailey’s mom must have been in for some serious heartburn while carrying Bailey because her hair is so precious. Aside from the super sweet image I created of Bailey in an oyster, her family also had two specific requests.

The first request involved a vintage rocking chair that has been in Bailey’s family for over four generations. Bailey’s family asked if they could bring this tiny rocking chair to my studio because they wanted a special image of her fast asleep in the seat. I always encourage my clients to bring along family heirlooms or items of importance to their session, so, naturally, I loved the idea! I swaddled Bailey in the softest pink wrap and matched it with a pink bow headband to get her ready for the moment. You will not believe this, but while this tiny girl was slumbering sweetly on the rocking chair, she produced the most heart-melting smile! No Photoshop, just a natural moment that unfolded perfectly.

How Do You Spell Love? LVOE!

The second request that Bailey’s family had for her session involved a cute misspelling between her Mom and her Mom’s Grandfather. Apparently, when Bailey’s mom was just a little girl herself, she used to write cards and letters to her Grandfather and sign them spelling love as “LVOE”. So Bailey’s Grandmother asked if it were at all possible for us to recreate this fun nod to her own baby’s childhood. The meaning behind this photo was so sentimental and sweet, so I recommended we work with my oversized pink letters to truly make a statement out of this moment! You’ll get to see both of those amazing sentimental photos below. Along with a few more images of little Bailey in some more adoring poses!
