Redmond WA Newborn Photographer

Sweet little baby Amira and her family chose me to be her Redmond WA newborn photographer. Boy oh boy did we pull out all the stops for this precious little one! Baby Amira’s mama worked closely with me to select some of the most magical sets for her little girl. And each and every image is filled with whimsy and enchantment.

Little Amira is a NICU baby, so in my eyes, she is a little warrior princess! What does a warrior princess get for her newborn photos? Pink, lots and lots of pink. Pink flowers, pink wings, a delicate pink swaddle, and, my favorite, a pink flamingo friend. During her session, I posed Amira with the biggest set of wings befitting her warrior princess status. Her tender purple butterfly wings were filled to the brim with bountiful flowers and adorned with buttons. The best part? She was wide awake for this pose! This little girl spent her session swapping back and forth between slumbering away, and being wide awake, a true unicorn session.

In addition to her beautifully bold wings, Amira also played the part of a flower enchantress. All wrapped up in a deep purple-hued swaddle, Amira was cozied up in a nest with a burst of flowers accompanying her. I used a full rainbow of florals to bring this scene to life and Amira slept peacefully through her enchanting moment.

Remember that pink flamingo friend I mentioned? It’s an imagination photo of Amira, tucked into a brightly colored flamingo wing as she slumbers away. Throughout the years, I’ve curated imagination photography for countless brothers and sisters. But it’s been especially amazing to bring it to the forefront of newborn photography. I’m always enamored with the vision that parents have when they come to me. However, I’m even more delighted to bring it to life!

One thing is for sure, no matter how much whimsy and imaginative scenery I manage to create for my newborns, there is always room for classic portraits. Nothing can detract from the simplistic beauty of seeing your newborn, swaddled to perfection, with their tiny fingers and toes filling the frame of a white background. In a pretty pastel pink swaddle and a darling hairbow, Amira slept sweetly and I focused my camera directly on her.
