This Puyallup First Birthday Cake Smash Photoshoot had the most elegant cake ever!
The downside, and also the fun part, of a cake smash photoshoot, is the mess! Going with a ‘sheer’ style cake like the one in the shoot below makes for plenty of cake smash fun, with a little bit less of a mess!
This sweet but serious birthday girl came into the Fairies and Frogs studio to celebrate her birthday with a Petite First Birthday Session. These sessions are a combination of a traditional set paired with a cake smash set.
You wouldn’t know she was such a serious baby by the adorable squishy face she made during her cake smash! She also came to her session dressed in the most adoring long sleeve dress! The dress was a pale blue and had these gorgeous blooming pink flowers printed all over it. It reminded me of a pattern that you might find on French linens or even antique teacups!
For her traditional portraits, the first birthday girl got cozy on my shaggy white fur rug before moving over to my mid-century modern chair. From there she sat in her custom first birthday cake smash setup. In the backdrop of her cake smash, we created a balloon arch in the shades of white, pale pink, and leafy green to closely resemble the birthday girl’s outfit. She dove right in and took no issue with poking her fingers into the side of her cake and taking a bite! So cute!
