Newborn photography in Bellevue WA fills my days with sweet and snuggly little ones. I spend my time capturing sleepy babies with round cheeks, tiny fingers, and little creases accenting their arms. Just like little baby Iselin! The most adorable little girl who came to me for newborn photography in Bellevue WA at six weeks old.

If you’re getting ready to welcome your own sweet bundle, you might be saying “But I thought newborn photography was supposed to be scheduled for the first 2-3 weeks”. In that case, you’d be right. It is ‘typically recommended’ that you capture your baby’s newborn photos within the first two to three weeks of life. However, as most mamas might already know, birthing is serious business. You and your baby might not be up to the task that soon. 

In this case, you may want to work with your newborn photographer at a time outside the recommended time frame. To that I say, all are welcome! Once the baby arrives, you may be watching one day blur into the next wondering when you’ll ever be able to work with a photographer on those cherished images. You didn’t miss a window. Newborn Photography Bellevue WA

Adorable little Iselin was so amazing during her session! She was awake and asleep throughout, and this gave me the ability to gently move her into a variety of positions, including one where her big round eyes were wide open and ready to take in everything going on around her. Ahead of her session, her mom and I discussed the overall vision she had in mind. We went over poses, outfit choices, and even characters! Mom had her heart set on seeing little Iselin as a fox. Of course, I couldn’t wait to turn her vision into a reality, dressing little Iselin as an enchanted forest fox while she slept tenderly among a bed of moss and wild mushrooms.

In addition to her enchanted forest moment, I also dressed Iselin as a fuzzy little bear cub. Asleep against the branch of a tree, Iselin wore a tiny flower crown with her legs hanging over the mossy branches of a mighty Oak. I work closely with parents to create these cherished moments that evoke creativity, imagination, and a dash of fantasy. But, there is one essential element to newborn photography that I always include with each of my sessions. Classic portraits. The portraits that you’ll pull out year after year when you want to recall how small they once were, swaddled in contentment, slumbering without a care in the world.
