When this mama called me she was only days away from delivering her baby. Her mom was going to fly in for the birth of her grand son and Grandma really, really wanted to give her daughter the gift of a gorgeous newborn session as a “Push Present”. What a wonderful gift! This family was so much fun to work with from the get go and I was so happy that I could fit them in!

When the mama and I were planning out the session she said that she had ordered a little custom Air Force “uniform” that she wanted her baby to wear and that Grandma’s favorite color was gray and that her favorite pose was the “potato sack” pose. I love that pose too! So I designed this babe’s session with all of these little nuggets of inspiration in mind. We also talked about doing poses with daddy wearing his uniform and holding his new baby – love those!

This little guy was 4 days old and just slept like a champ through every set that we did! We did a total of 6 different “looks” or sets and I took multiple pictures and we did multiple poses within those sets. The studio is always kept warm and cozy so he transitioned from one set to the next without waking up from his deep sleep – he was a very content little bub!

If you are thinking about a newborn session or providing one as a push present contact me today and let’s chat! It is never to early to reserve your newborn session. If you are having a baby this summer, fall or winter it is best to reserve your session as early as possible just to insure that the time around your due date is still available. The best time for a newborn photography session is when baby is 4 to 12 days old. Once you are on the schedule we will adjust your session date to keep you within that “window of time” that is best for pictures once baby arrives – because most of the time babies decide when their birthday is going to be!
