It’s fairy princess-themed first birthday photos in Tacoma to celebrate sweet little Masddions’s first birthday, and you are going to fall in love with her as much as I did! This is one little girl who was very serious. I imagine she was very concerned with taking in her surroundings. Even though she was working so hard to make sure she didn’t crack a smile, I absolutely persisted. I’m so glad I did because I got the biggest brightest smile out of this adorable birthday girl! That adorable little smile of hers proudly displayed her tiny teeth, so I knew I had to make it happen again. So joyful!

First Birthday Photos Tacoma

All of my birthday boys and girls get their own personalized cake as part of their session. Sometimes the cake is an absolute hit and they can’t get enough. Sometimes they play with it a bit to figure out what’s going on before tasting it. And most of the time, they have no interest in their birthday cake. Which is a totally expected reaction! Maddison, being every bit the fairy princess and serious little girl she is, wasn’t ready to go all in with her cake. She was more curious and approached her birthday cake with careful inspection. Who can blame her, a girl has to be sure. And surely, a princess cannot serve her own birthday cake after all. 

I will say that her adorable, sized just for her, personal smash cake was so pretty! It was covered in pretty blush flowers and served high atop a gold cake stand. Is there any other way to serve cake to a princess on their birthday? Probably not! The setup for Maddison’s cake smash was every bit as pretty as her pint-sized cake. There were florals everywhere (a girl can never have too many!), and hanging lanterns that were perfectly draped with stands of crystals. To top it all off, Maddison’s mama picked out the perfect dress for her first birthday photos. A frilly tulle dress with a layer of silk.
