Little Hadrian is celebrating his very first birthday and his mama contacted me to be his Everett baby photographer!
This little boy is too adorable. He has quite the little personality and he is full of fun. If that’s not enough to win you over, his strawberry blonde locks and big round blue eyes will certainly tug right at your heartstrings!

Little Hadrian’s family is no stranger to my studio. His big brother was the first to celebrate his first birthday in front of my camera. And now I have the joy of boarding a pirate ship to set sail for Hadrian’s moment!
Of course, there were no scary pirates present for Hadrian’s cake smash moment. However, there was a fabulous Brigantine ship and plenty of treasure chests and stacks of gold. So it is possible we just missed the pirates before Hadrian’s arrival! As fun as it was to put this setup together and work with Hadrian, I have to admit, the fact that his mama absolutely loved the theme of his cake smash made my heart warm.
For Hadrian’s cake, my goal was to strive for a design that would fit in perfectly with his pirate backdrop. So a very special Hadrian-sized cake with a skull and crossbones design was created, just for him! To add to Hadrian’s pirate experience, I selected a distressed cake stand that appeared as if it had spent its days lost at sea. Perfect for any little “pirate” who is celebrating a birthday!
Because Hadrian’s mama booked a Classique First Birthday session, there were two more components left to being his Everett baby photographer! The first was a classic portrait setup. Typically, I like to start my sessions off with the classic poses. You know, before the cake comes out and the celebration begins! It gives the parents a chance to get those photos of baby in their “nice” outfit before they switch into an outfit ready for cake crumbs and buttercream! Hadrian’s little outfit included a tiny black bow tie. This baby sized bowtie coupled with Hadrian’s out-of-sight cuteness will positively make your heart burst!
The last part of Hadrian’s session was my signature rubber ducky bathtub. With plenty of “bubbles” of course! This itty bitty bathtub was the perfect way for the birthday boy to clean up after his cake smash session.
