Bellevue WA Newborn, Baby, and Family Photographer

As a Bellevue WA newborn photographer, I love it when families join the session by jumping in front of the camera. There were so many precious moments during baby Ziya’s shoot including time spent with her proud brand new big brother, along with her Mom and Dad. In fact, little Ziya’s big brother is also a Fairies and Frogs alumni. When he was just a sweet newborn himself, his mom and dad brought him to my studio for his session! It has been truly amazing to watch this beautiful family grow, and to have the honor of meeting sweet little Ziya!

When Mom and Dad reached out to book little Ziya’s session, they came to me chock full of all the best ideas! They decided on a Luxe newborn package, which gave them the flexibility to select a number of poses and setups for baby Ziya. But what was most important to them was working on something that would create a legacy for their family. They wanted a precious photo of big brother and his little baby sister together, in a one-of-a-kind image.

One-of-a-kind images are somewhat relatively new to Fairies & Frogs Photography, but I have to admit, they are gaining popularity with my clients more and more. For baby Ziya and big brother, we wanted to create a one of a kind image using a pose where big brother was cradling Ziya. But, big brother had other ideas in mind. However, I did notice something. He has so much love for his baby sister that every time she was placed down he would quickly lean over and kiss her on the cheek. Picking up on this, we quickly shifted our original plan.

Instead of our original idea of big brother holding Ziya, we placed her in a perfectly sized swaddle and laid her down. Wouldn’t you know, as soon as she was cozy and snug, he leaned right over and kissed her tender cheek. I have never clicked so fast, but it only takes a mere second to get that picture-perfect shot! So maybe the original plan didn’t work, however, our backup plan ended up being more precious than any one of us could have imagined.

Along with this sweet pose, Mom and Dad opted for a one-of-a-kind image that beckoned the look and feel of a nursery. Wooden blocks on the floor, draped white curtains hanging on the sun-drenched windows, and soft boho bedding. The warm tones in the setup enhanced the tender moment between two siblings getting ready to embark on their best childhood years together, creating a heartwarming expression of love.
