Baby E’s Newborn Photography Session – Olympia Baby Photographer

Sweet Miss E is baby #2 for this wonderful family. When they arrived for her newborn photography session mom showed me a metal star (she actually had two) and she really wanted to incorporate the star (or stars) into one of the pictures because baby’s big brother had his newborn pictures with a star as well. I love a challenge!! First we tried hanging the star from the the top of the moon, but the star was just too big and it looked awkward. Then I leaned the star against the moon and puddled the silver grey fabric underneath it…it worked perfectly. I love the elegant neutral tones that the “baby in the moon” set provides. The creams and ivory colors with the silver grey are just so elegant and peaceful looking. All the neutral loveliness really keeps baby at the focal point of the picture and keeps it from looking too busy. I love when a client brings in an item and we can make it work so perfectly in a picture.

If you have an item that you would like to bring to your newborn photography session just let me know! Bringing an item from home can make a picture mean that much more to your family; whether it is a stuffed animal, a uniform {soldier, airman, law enforcement, fire fighter}, a quilt, a book that you’ve been reading to your growing belly, dog tags, or pretty much anything we can certainly try to incorporate it into your newborn session and make it work. If you don’t have anything you would like to bring, that’s perfectly okay! We have lots, and lots of props, fabrics, hats, bonnets, teddy bears…and the list could go on and on!

To schedule a session you can call us 360.438.0432 or submit a session request form. We are currently booking for October, November and December and we only have a couple of spots left for each month. Please book early to insure that you have a spot reserved on our calendar. Space is limited!
