Baby Annabelle’s PNW-themed first birthday photoshoot will absolutely melt your heart! Before you skip ahead and scroll through her adorable portraits, I have to tell you that all of her little poses were completely natural. I promise! With absolutely zero prompting from me or Mom, she had the cutest little head tilt pose for her classic portraits, and again for her cake smash setup! She was such a natural in front of the camera!

We shot this session during the fall, and the birthday girl had the cutest little earthy-toned romper, picked out by her mama. It’s almost a shade of burnt orange, but it was a knit material with a chunky texture to it. It photographed so beautifully! And when it’s your first birthday you just have to have a floral headband to go along with your outfit, don’t you agree? Two in fact! One for her romper outfit, and one for her corduroy apron dress!

The PNW theme that Mom chose is a wildly popular setup among my clients with little boys. So I was overjoyed that Mom picked out this “adventurous” setup for Annabelle. It was so sweet to see it come to life with Annabelle’s tiny little mary janes and knee socks! Needless to say, her apron dress might have been put to the test in this shoot once the cake came out. Who can resist looking at a few cake crumbs between those tiny fingers? It’s the most adorable thing ever!
